What it is
What PRP and PRF actually are.
A small blood draw is spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich fraction. PRP is the liquid concentrate. PRF is the slower spin that leaves a fibrin matrix, which releases growth factors over a longer window rather than all at once.
Placed into the scalp it targets follicles that are thinning but still alive. Placed into the skin it drives collagen remodelling. Both work with your own material, which is why the response is gradual rather than immediate.

- PRP or PRF, which one?
- PRF releases growth factors over days rather than hours, so we usually recommend it for hair. We decide together at your appointment.
- Does it hurt?
- The draw is a standard needle. The placement is done after topical numbing and is uncomfortable rather than painful.
- How many sessions?
- Hair responds to a course of six spaced across a few months. Skin is often done as one to three sessions a year.
- Why can't I book it online?
- The draw and the spin need a clinician and a room scheduled together. We arrange it by hand so nothing is rushed.
